The Best of Singapura ♥

06.05-08.2011
Singapore.

The Lion City. A highly developed and well-organized country. Systematic and strict at all times. Dining, along with shopping, is said to be the country's national pastime.

Merlion Park.
This park is a popular tourist attraction located near Marina Bay. It is the major tourist attraction and the landmark of Singapore. With me, is my family taking a photo with the famous Merlion statue.

Marina Bay Sands Hotel

Universal Studios, Singapore.
Everyone's favorite, The Universal Studios. It was only just a dream for me, and now, half of my dream came true! I experienced rides and attractions based on some of my favorite blockbuster films, like, Jurassic Park, Water World, Shrek and many more!

Lunch together with Auntie Vergie.

Battlestar Galactica dueling roller coasters.
I was able to ride both Cylon & Human 3 times! I'm so proud of myself!

Battlestar Galactica: Cylon is a suspended roller coaster and travels on an inverted blue track.

The Cylon coaster is a coaster designed like the Cylon Raider suspended from the track with legs free that performs intense maneuvers including several inversions in the form of a zero-g roll, a Cobra roll, corkscrews and vertical loops. The Cylon coaster also plunges into a 5-metre (16 ft) deep pit filled with artificial fog to give thrill seekers the sensation of a near miss with the ground. It also includes sudden turns close to buildings emphasizing the sensation of a near miss.

Battlestar Galactica: Human features a seated roller coaster and travels on the red track.

The Human coaster is designed for riders who want a roller coaster experience without inversions. The trains use lap restraints giving the rider total upper body movement. According to Universal Studios Singapore engineers, riders on the Human track experience more G-forces than those on the Cylon track. At certain point of the ride, the coaster reaches speed of up to 90 kilometres per hour (56 mph).

Me and my family with Woody Wood Pecker.

Kung Fu Panda.
I spent my time looking for Po the whole day. Finally, at 8:30 in the evening, I spotted Po at the hallway upon the entrance of Universal Studios. I was teary-eyed that time because I promised Nemo that I'm going to hug Po for him. And hugging Po, was totally a worthy experience! I love you Dragon Warrior!

Madagascar with my cousins.

Revenge of The Mummy - The Ride.
The first attraction in history to feature a fusion of threshold technology, high-speed roller coaster engineering. This is really a thrill for me. It seems like it turned out to be a thrilling, scary, scream-worthy ride.

Fooooooooooods! but no rice.. LOL. I survived!

Merlion Plaza
The famous 37 metres high Merlion located at Sentosa Singapore. We had fun taking photos and also had the opportunity to point & shoot using a DSLR cam. Thanks to Achie Juliet. It was really a great experience for us to see the Merlion in person. I feel like I'm in front of a giant Buddha or the Great Wall of China. LOL. But kidding aside, Merlion Plaza is a place to be! Something that you MUST visit if you plan to have a vacation at Singapore.

Singapore Cable Car
We were captivated and enthralled by the setting as the day unfolds a stunning 360-degree view of the Southern precinct with its transparent enclosure. It was extremely another unforgettable moment for me and my family, even Lola enjoyed the cable car trip!

Skyline Luge Sentosa
The happiest part of our day! We, kids, really enjoyed this part and still has a hang-over on it. It is wherein you will ride the Skyride and enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful coastline. Then going back, the Luge offers a truly unique outdoor experience, a part go-cart, part toboggan. Super FUN!

I won the race!

A closer look at the Luge.

Skyline with Mariel.

I found Nemo! And how I wish you were with us :(

Our last nights at Yew Tee where the Medinas lives. Enjoyed their flat as well as the free access to internet. Thanks much Ahiya, Achie, Dichie & Shotie! I also enjoyed the sleep-walking of Dichie Malen :))) Hahaha...

The last Singapore dollars I had on hand. I bought dim sum for Nemo as a pasalubong using these coins. $2.50 for 1 order. So I bought 1 Siomai and 1 Shark's fin fresh from Singapore.

We're so in-love with our souvenir shirts bought at Universal Studios!
What The Frak! The words you utter when you ride the Battlestar Gallactica!

One last shot at Changi Airport, Singapore.

I, or should I say, WE, had the best days of our lives, so far! Enjoyed every minute of it and every scenery of Singapore. I did appreciat every single moment I had with my family and relatives from day 1 to day 4. I experienced different ways on how the Singapore government managed their country, compared here in the Philippines. But I do not regret being a Filipino. I'm just wondering WHAT IF Marcos is still alive? Maybe or Might be, Philippines will be like Singapore - CCTV's everywhere, no need for security guards, no chewing of bubble gum, no smoking, less crimes, DISCIPLINED FILIPINOS and a lot more. Just a random thought.

Anyway... I just want to thank the following people, or my love ones, who made my Singapore trip so much possible:

Daddy & Mommy
Thank you for adopting me. As if I'm your eldest. I am very blessed and thankful to have parents like you. Thank you for being there for me while mama & papa is not around. I love you both!

Ahiya, Achie, Dichie & Shoti
Thank you very much Medina Siblings, for the hospitality and some treats and freebies. I enjoyed the vacation even it was only for a short period of time. *group hugs*

Tita Meanne and family.
Our partner's-in-crime in terms of out-of-the-country trips. I always enjoy your company and with your kids, Roanne and Robert, super cool bonding and super happy-to-be-with. The Jump shots and the rides at Universal Studios, I did enjoy every minute I was with you guys. *group hugs*

and last but not the least,

My melo-dramatic sister, Mariel
Thanks much sis for also being my partner-in-crime! Wala na talagang tatalo sa tandem natin :P
I love you big time!

Happy Mother's Day Mama ♥

It has been years since the last time I surprised mama with a fine dinning dinner. I remembered I cooked an instant spaghetti noodles for her and used a cocktail glass (a glass that looks like a goblet) then I put in Coke instead of a wine. LOL. I miss that. :(

She's at USA right now, and I can't wait for her comeback. Hopefully she can have an unforgettable vacation experience there and also a successful work career. She's been staying there for almost more than 6 months now. She extended her stay legally so that she can process her work papers in time.

Miss you Ma! Wish you were here.. I love you ♥♥♥

April ♥

April was meant to be for Nemo and my family. As I have realized lately, I've been spending most of my time with my family - and if I'm not with them, I'm with Nemo.. or BOTH!

Here are some of the best of my summer so far.

Having step brothers is like having real brothers at all. I felt the same way like most of the mothers feel - being proud. Yes, I'm a proud sister to my baby brothers, Rafael and Ryan. Rafael is now a certified high school student while Ryan is now a college student - and might be studying at Mapua Institute of Technology with a course of Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineer - since he already passed the entrance test.

Rafael together with me and papa.

Ryan. With me, papa and Rafael.

Food fest! That's how we celebrate every important days of our lives. We're so reluctant to foods and dishes that are very unique to our taste buds. We tend to eat a lot and check out new twists on fab restaurants or food chains. Just like many others, people loves to eat all the time as long as you have "cha ching cha ching". Even without it, still -- foods are the best-test medicine of all time!

One of which, is me and Nemo celebrated our month-anniv at Sizzling Pepper Steak.

Chicken Pepper Rice & Pork BBQ Pepper Rice was really amazing.

Ever since we were young, mommy always prepare a birthday celebration for all of us, as much as she can - she'll buy cakes, chicken, lechon, etc for the sake of making you very special on the date of you birthday. This time, daddy surprised mommy with a very discreet birthday celebration. All of the members in the house was doing their designated tasks, like me - I bought the case of Coke & case of Beer. I also drove alone, for the very first time, just to buy those at Makro. Isn't it amazing? I was able to manage driving without someone professional beside me. What an achievement!

At SM Mall of Asia with Nemo and relatives.

Right after the lunch-out and videoke at home, we went to SM Mall of Asia - which is not actually an original plan - the plan was to go to Tagaytay. But since we will not be able to appreciate the scenery, then what we did was we had dinner at Yellow Cab, and yes! that's at SM MOA! haha. We went all they way to Pasay just to ate pizza. Awesome!

So here's THE REAL PLAN. After mommy's birthday, we went at Tagaytay the next day, it's somewhat a continuation of mommy & Mariel's birthday. We went there together with family and relatives, including Nemo. We had so much fun and had a wonderful day, again, with the fam.

Nemo and my family at Taal Vista, Tagaytay.

Tagaytay is lovelier the seconnd time around! We went at Tagaytay Picnik Grove last year in celebration of Nemo's birthday. This time, we're in Taal Vista, Tagaytay.

Nemo, will you.... check if my ring is a 24karat gold? :))

Dinner at RSM Lutong Bahay.

Aside from microphone, I also play the ciello... IN MY DREAMS!

It's Mariel's 16th, and we went to Enchanted Kingdom together with her Sienna & Miriam friendships. And of course, I was with Nemo too :)

Surprise Mariel! Happy 16th Birthday from Achie & Nemo.

Happy Birthday Mariel! From Mommy, Achie, Nemo, Miriam & Sienna friends!

While Mariel is with her Miriam friends, Me & Nemo was with her Sienna friends - since we already know them for quite some time and our bonding has chemistry.

So cool that I SURVIVED SPACE SHUTTLE MAX! Although I was teary-eyed right after the ride, the essence is still there! (evil smirk) I still, and I was able to ride that scary shuttle. And I'm so damn proud!

Here's a romantic scenery of ala-New York-slash-Space Shuttle Max! I really love this shot. I feel like I'm with James BALD .. I mean.. James Bond. (well actually, the pose was adopted from Charlie's Angels) haha. To make the story short, I love this shot!

Fooooooooods! Had pizza hut and Dilly Bars for reception! LOL :P

April is not complete without the Holy Week. So on the first day, I had my very first company outing at Maysha Resort together with my officemates at Computer Avenue and some of my dad's officemates at Yamaha Motortrade Nationwide Corp. I really did enjoy this a lot, not only because I was also with Nemo that night, it was also my first work-related outing experience.

With Mariel, Nemo and my partner in Marketing, Kuya Normel and our one-and-only technician, Kuya Rex.

Kuya Normel with the Yamaha Boys.

Overnight Swimming like there's no tomorrow! with my best-est buds Mariel & Nemo.

Visita Iglesia are Spanish words meaning "church visits." Filipinos traditionally visit fourteen churches in remembrance of the 14 stations of the cross. We, on the other hand, visit only 7 churches and pray 2 stations for each church.

Visita Iglesia with family.

We went at:

1. Christ The King Parish Church - Mozon
2. St. John The Baptist Parish Church - Taytay, Rizal
3. Our Lady of Light Parish Church - Cainta Rizal
4. Parokya Ng Santo Rosario - Pasig
5. Christ The King Parish Church - Green Meadows
6. Nativity of our Lady Parish - Marikina City
7. Monasterio De Sta. Clara - Katipunan

Right after, we had our dinner at Pizza Hut.
(Daddy can't do fasting due to his Diabetes)

Right after Visita Iglesia, Mariel & I went for an Alay Lakad from Cainta Rizal to Antipolo Church.

I wasn't able to make it to the church because I was sick that night, I feel like I had butterflies in my stomach and thank God we found a nice resto-bar along Antipolo and a cool crew to assist us to the bathroom.

Going back...

We're almost there actually, good thing Nel lives at Antipolo, so we we're able to take a rest and ate a little for dinner.

Before I end this novela blog of mine, I just want to congratulate my lawfully wedded boyfriend, Nemo for winning the 1st runner-up for speed category in Pump It Up Fun at WOF Phase 1.

I'm a PROUD GIRLFRIEND! :)

So basically, all of these happened only this April and this took me 3 days of blogging. Good thing Blogspot has "save as draft". I just can't believe that all of these happened only in a month. And I still have upto June to make the most of my summer. Yup! You heard it right, it's June - and we're going to be out of the country... sooooon
