The Best of Singapura ♥

06.05-08.2011
Singapore.

The Lion City. A highly developed and well-organized country. Systematic and strict at all times. Dining, along with shopping, is said to be the country's national pastime.

Merlion Park.
This park is a popular tourist attraction located near Marina Bay. It is the major tourist attraction and the landmark of Singapore. With me, is my family taking a photo with the famous Merlion statue.

Marina Bay Sands Hotel

Universal Studios, Singapore.
Everyone's favorite, The Universal Studios. It was only just a dream for me, and now, half of my dream came true! I experienced rides and attractions based on some of my favorite blockbuster films, like, Jurassic Park, Water World, Shrek and many more!

Lunch together with Auntie Vergie.

Battlestar Galactica dueling roller coasters.
I was able to ride both Cylon & Human 3 times! I'm so proud of myself!

Battlestar Galactica: Cylon is a suspended roller coaster and travels on an inverted blue track.

The Cylon coaster is a coaster designed like the Cylon Raider suspended from the track with legs free that performs intense maneuvers including several inversions in the form of a zero-g roll, a Cobra roll, corkscrews and vertical loops. The Cylon coaster also plunges into a 5-metre (16 ft) deep pit filled with artificial fog to give thrill seekers the sensation of a near miss with the ground. It also includes sudden turns close to buildings emphasizing the sensation of a near miss.

Battlestar Galactica: Human features a seated roller coaster and travels on the red track.

The Human coaster is designed for riders who want a roller coaster experience without inversions. The trains use lap restraints giving the rider total upper body movement. According to Universal Studios Singapore engineers, riders on the Human track experience more G-forces than those on the Cylon track. At certain point of the ride, the coaster reaches speed of up to 90 kilometres per hour (56 mph).

Me and my family with Woody Wood Pecker.

Kung Fu Panda.
I spent my time looking for Po the whole day. Finally, at 8:30 in the evening, I spotted Po at the hallway upon the entrance of Universal Studios. I was teary-eyed that time because I promised Nemo that I'm going to hug Po for him. And hugging Po, was totally a worthy experience! I love you Dragon Warrior!

Madagascar with my cousins.

Revenge of The Mummy - The Ride.
The first attraction in history to feature a fusion of threshold technology, high-speed roller coaster engineering. This is really a thrill for me. It seems like it turned out to be a thrilling, scary, scream-worthy ride.

Fooooooooooods! but no rice.. LOL. I survived!

Merlion Plaza
The famous 37 metres high Merlion located at Sentosa Singapore. We had fun taking photos and also had the opportunity to point & shoot using a DSLR cam. Thanks to Achie Juliet. It was really a great experience for us to see the Merlion in person. I feel like I'm in front of a giant Buddha or the Great Wall of China. LOL. But kidding aside, Merlion Plaza is a place to be! Something that you MUST visit if you plan to have a vacation at Singapore.

Singapore Cable Car
We were captivated and enthralled by the setting as the day unfolds a stunning 360-degree view of the Southern precinct with its transparent enclosure. It was extremely another unforgettable moment for me and my family, even Lola enjoyed the cable car trip!

Skyline Luge Sentosa
The happiest part of our day! We, kids, really enjoyed this part and still has a hang-over on it. It is wherein you will ride the Skyride and enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful coastline. Then going back, the Luge offers a truly unique outdoor experience, a part go-cart, part toboggan. Super FUN!

I won the race!

A closer look at the Luge.

Skyline with Mariel.

I found Nemo! And how I wish you were with us :(

Our last nights at Yew Tee where the Medinas lives. Enjoyed their flat as well as the free access to internet. Thanks much Ahiya, Achie, Dichie & Shotie! I also enjoyed the sleep-walking of Dichie Malen :))) Hahaha...

The last Singapore dollars I had on hand. I bought dim sum for Nemo as a pasalubong using these coins. $2.50 for 1 order. So I bought 1 Siomai and 1 Shark's fin fresh from Singapore.

We're so in-love with our souvenir shirts bought at Universal Studios!
What The Frak! The words you utter when you ride the Battlestar Gallactica!

One last shot at Changi Airport, Singapore.

I, or should I say, WE, had the best days of our lives, so far! Enjoyed every minute of it and every scenery of Singapore. I did appreciat every single moment I had with my family and relatives from day 1 to day 4. I experienced different ways on how the Singapore government managed their country, compared here in the Philippines. But I do not regret being a Filipino. I'm just wondering WHAT IF Marcos is still alive? Maybe or Might be, Philippines will be like Singapore - CCTV's everywhere, no need for security guards, no chewing of bubble gum, no smoking, less crimes, DISCIPLINED FILIPINOS and a lot more. Just a random thought.

Anyway... I just want to thank the following people, or my love ones, who made my Singapore trip so much possible:

Daddy & Mommy
Thank you for adopting me. As if I'm your eldest. I am very blessed and thankful to have parents like you. Thank you for being there for me while mama & papa is not around. I love you both!

Ahiya, Achie, Dichie & Shoti
Thank you very much Medina Siblings, for the hospitality and some treats and freebies. I enjoyed the vacation even it was only for a short period of time. *group hugs*

Tita Meanne and family.
Our partner's-in-crime in terms of out-of-the-country trips. I always enjoy your company and with your kids, Roanne and Robert, super cool bonding and super happy-to-be-with. The Jump shots and the rides at Universal Studios, I did enjoy every minute I was with you guys. *group hugs*

and last but not the least,

My melo-dramatic sister, Mariel
Thanks much sis for also being my partner-in-crime! Wala na talagang tatalo sa tandem natin :P
I love you big time!
