My Life as Evergreen, A Proud Fairy Tail Member. L ♥
Warning: This is going to be a veeery loooong post!
That was Sunday, September 30 2012. Cosplay Mania 2012. Another awesome day with my FZ friends. An unforgettable and unexpected things happened in just one day of us, as Fairy Tail Wizards.
My imagination's original cosplay idea was to portray Wilma in the famous cartoon, The Flinstones - so that I can have Nemo as my partner - as Fred Flinstone. It was the simplest costumes ever which I believe I can still save-up at least 50% of my expected cosplay budget.
I think Nemo doesn't really want to be Fred. You know that guilt feeling that you're like forcing him to cosplay this or to cosplay that, and then eventually I told him that whoever he wants to cosplay, it's up to him now to decide - and I'm planning to just go with them with OR WITHOUT my costume on. I mean, I was very sensitive with the money that I'm going to spend for this. Since this is going to be my very first OWNED costume (I was just lucky that I borrow my previous costumes in the past few years, thanks to Ate Rue whom I met through Multiply). So to make the story short, I was really planning to not to cosplay anymore.
EVENTUALLY... I CHANGED MY MIND!
Nemo encouraged me a little. So I heard everyone will be cosplaying Fairy Tail. Nemo searched for a female character that will really suit my taste. I googled and then... I saw myself as Evergreen. I'M DECIDED! I will cosplay Evergreen from fairy Tail.
Evergreen Evergreen (エバーグリーン Ebāgurīn) is a 20-year-old wizard and the sole female member of the Thunder God Tribe. Using her eye magic, Stone Eyes (石化眼(ストーン・アイズ Sutōn Aizu), she can petrify others through eye contact. She wears eyeglasses to control this magic, similar to Bickslow, and uses it to hold several other female members of the guild hostage, forcing the remaining members to participate in the Battle of Fairy Tail. She can also conjure golden dust to perform various attacks such as Fairy Bomb: Gremlin (妖精爆弾 グレムリン Yōsei Bakudan: Guremurin), an explosion of ignited dust, and Fairy Machine Gun: Leprechaun (妖精機銃 レブラホーン Yōsei Kijū: Reburahōn), a projectile attack in which she rapidly fires limitless needles at her opponents. She originally joins Fairy Tail solely for her obsession with anything having to do with fairies, and covets Erza Scarlet's title of "Fairy Queen, Titania". She partners with Elfman Strauss and helps him surprise and defeat Mirajane in the first stage of the S-class exam on Tenrou Island by tricking her into thinking they are engaged. However, she fervently denies her feelings about him to anyone who brings it up.
Since it's my first time. We did fabric cloth shopping!
And then, my friends refer us here at Marie's. and definitely there will be NO second time!
We gave our costume details to Ate Nancy (the one who made my costume at Marie's). At first, I was so excited to the point that I can't wait any longer for Cosplay Mania. If I'm not mistaken, we showed her the details as early as the first week of September. So I believe that would be a long time for her to make my dress beautiful as I expect it to be. We gave her at least TWO WEEKS to finish it so that if there will be any changes, we can fix it ahead of time.
Only to find out, she made my dress in just ONE DAY! Two weeks was already over and still delayed my costume for I guess 5 days more! And the results were all messed up! The embroidery and my fan was a mess too!! I was really disappointed at her.
Thank God we still have a week to fix our costume. That's Ate Imee, my office-mate who referred me to her friend Ate Nora, who do good embroidery! Ate Nora really saves the day! Thank you so much!
How I wish I was able to take a photo of my original Marie's-made costume that was very disappointing. But this intagram photo of my costume took my bad mood away. Thank you Ate Nora for such a clean and BETTER EMBROIDERY. I love it..

I also want to thank Lidyza for transforming my fan into a huge cute fan as I expected it to be. I love the hearts as well! You really did a great job! Kudos to your art skills :)
So everything was OK. 1 day just before the event...
I was figuring out how am I going to put my Fairy Tail mark. (My FT mark is located on my right breast). I used a colored pen for the green one and a styropore paint on the red one. Both of them looks good but eventually fades easily once I perspire. So I used a green pentle pen instead and Mean's friend (John Paul Ruanto) was the one who put our Fairy Tail Guild marks.
SO THIS IS REALLY IS IT!!!! COSPLAY MANIA, Here we come!!
Me & Nemo went to Fiesta Villa and bought our Brunch contribution.
Few blocks away from Fiesta Villa, we went at Jazwell/Awin's house. We did our preparation there as we did our make-up, costume fitting, Fairy Tail marks tatoo-ing and revised some of our costumes and weapons.
On our way to SMX. Cool jeepney ride going to Santolan station. Then we rented an Innova car going to SM Mall Of Asia.

It has been 4 years since the last time I saw him in person! And what a coincidence that we cosplayed characters, both from Fairy Tail Raijinshuu (Thunder God Tribe). Cute reunion huh?! :)) Say hello to my college friend, Mark Canada who went too as Laxus Dreyar. We're both from the same tribe in the anime Fairy Tail ♥

Anyhow.. EVERYONE WAS STARVING ALREADY! Time Check: past 4:00 pm.
We decided to take our dinner, until we saw Arianne one of our FZ friends who's very knowledgeable when it comes to photography. So as much as we wanted to have our dinner first, we attented to Arianne's mini photo shoot.

I was hoping if I could really stop the clock by the time that we're all still together; small talks, boisterous laughter, helping out each other and simply by doing things all together. I am very happy I have this kind of family that almost resembles to Fairy Tail wizards. It's all about the friendship. Arigato Gozaimazu! ♥♥♥

A Nemo Gangnam Style Birthday ♥
SURPRISE!!!! Happy Birthday Nemo!

It was Nemo's day and for the Nth time, I had a hard time to sneak out for another unique and extraordinary gift for him (since we're always together 24/7!). It was that day when I was browsing an Instagram photo of Jugs Jugueta of Itchyworms, LIGHT BULB!
I came up with the idea of the famous Psy's Gangnam Style theme for his birthday! I tried to level-up my photoshop skills and hooked up with the lasso tool! Thanks Lester for the tutorials! haha. Going back, I gave myself a pat-on-the-back since I was really in-love with the idea (thanks much Jugs!)

I edited some Nemo's old photos and put it on Psy's face! IT WAS SOOOO AWESOMENESS and I was laughing boisterously through out the process! I give myself a round of applause! haha!
It won't be complete without ME! haha :))

And of course, Jepii! Haha.. He suits the character so well and I love the Nemo party hat too. It was my birthday surprise way back 2 years ago.
Moving on...
I printed out all the edited photos of him and tried to make a collage together with his favorite arcade game, Street Fighter X Tekken.
I was having a hard time on how am I going to surprise him without being caught. We're working at the same office, KAYA SOBRANG HIRAP!!!
One day he told me, that he's falling in love with the Street Fighter X Tekken game. He even joke me to gave him one for a gift. Since then he gave me an idea on what to give him for his birthday. I tried not to tell him so that he will be surprised. So I tried to contact several friends of mine that I knew loves Tekken as well. They referred me to DataBlitz. Thank goodness they also have a branch here at Marikina (closest to our place) So what I did was, after work, we'll have a simple dinner at SM Marikina. I told him to look for a restaurant that he likes while I, went to the other side of the mall to look for DataBlitz. I gave him 5 minutes so that I can add the CD to my letter collage. I almost bent over the lobby of Cyberzone just to wrote additional quotes on my collage, telling him how much I love him.. not! hahaha :P
After 10 minutes.. (haha, I saw him at McDonalds and I was late!) He chose Pizza Hut for a fine dinning birthday dinner. So we went there as if nothing happens.
This was our very first minimal food binge! We usually ate heavy meals, preferably eat-all-you-can restaurants. We don't know what happened, but we're just really want a snack meal that night. A regular pan pizza, Lasagna and american fries satisfied us already. (PS: we're not on diet!) hahaha :)

Before I forgot.. I made 100 capsules full of my pick-up lines! Haha.. One Capsule a day for Nemo :) I was making this while we we're still waiting for our orders.. HAPIT NA HAPIT ang mga gift ko kay Nemo.. I felt that I was so haggard that day. I just want to make him happy, that's all. ♥
AND HERE WERE THE RESULTS! I was totally overwhelmed, overjoyed and I felt that all of my efforts were worth-it!
