Generation Next 2013; Pump It Up October Fest Year 2

I was trying to imagine, if I can come up with an event similar to those reality shows, such as; Protege & The Voice Of The Philippines. I was thinking, it's going to be too risky and too hard for us to make it possible since it requires a lot of effort and everything a reality show must have.

Until.... taaaaadaaaaaaah!!!!!

I was able to make it happen! It was really hard but it was fun! And It won't be possible without the help of my FZ friends. It's a Year 2 of our very first Pump It Up event - Pump It Up October Fest 2012, with a twist!

It was actually a closed-group event and we invited FZerians to have at least one buddy to become his/her student/apprentice. It's a mentor-student relationship. The mentor will bring out the best in their students in terms of dancing Pump It Up (PIU).

Just like in any PIU Tournaments, the pads should be checked for maintenance to prevent future technical problems.

Thank you so much Sir Ricky, our friendly-technician for almost 5 years at Sta. Lucia Branch! (You should be promoted Sir!)

Generation Next 2013 is a Three-week duration event wherein all teams are going to make the most of the weeks given to practice and train their students.

Check out our training for the past three weeks...

Here's the complete list of teams:

7. Team Nel/Rose
8. Team Rafael/Shai
9. Team Zedd/Lem

10. And of course, me as Mentor of my chosen student - Holy :)

The purpose of the event was very successful. We were able to built camaraderie most especially to those new students who weren't familiar to us. I myself, was able to learn new things with Holy and at the same time, I was able to know her better! She's a fast learner, both Pump It Up & academics. I love how she dedicates herself to time management. We barely practice, like 2-3 times in a week, with just at least 2-3 hours of play. Our usual whole day free time is every Sunday. So we usually go to the nearest amusement center wherein we can practice with just the two of us.

This was us during the event proper. We had mini games such as charades instead of intermission numbers. Mentors were allowed to coach (just like in the boxing arena) to give support to their students. And this, was the BEST ONE I got! It was very difficult for us to learn everything in just a small span of time. But I saw how eager my student, Holy, was. She did a very good job. Even though we lost the battle, it was still, the part where we fought for our team, was unbelievable & very sentimental.

International Pump Fest 2013

I wasn't able to make it :(

It marks my 2nd time of losing. But what my lose inspires me about, is that - life's isn't always about winning. You need to accept failures for you to be able to understand how hard life is. So definitely, I know I haven't been serious in playing Pump It Up this past few weeks, so as expected, I have no way of winning at all. Practice makes perfect - pero wala akong practice - pag nanalo ako, isa na akong chambalera! :))

But then again, it was fun during the competition. I met new friends again - some were old ones, some were familiar faces. I can't help myself reminiscing my Pump It Up life way back four years ago.

Somehow, malungkot lang, kasi not all of my FZSL friends were there. My GF, Mean, that supposed to be my frenemy in every PIU competition and my boyf Nemo who has work on that day. :( It was really a downpour of sadness. I just want to thank Carl, Eric, Mhia & Stanley who came despite the heavy rains. And of course, I want to congratulate Nick, for being able to make it to the finals. He may not made it to IPF itself - at least, he got one step closer to the edge!

Anyhow...

I was able to spend time with our fellow FZerians from Gateway.

And met Hanah (which won the 1st place for female division) and Camille (on 4th place).

That's us for the Female Division, actually, we're 6 to compete - she went home early that's why we weren't able to know her better. Going back, I was in the 5th place and my friend from FZ Sta. Lucia - Lidy, got the 3rd! *yey!* Play To Unite I guess, we're all PROUD FZERIANS *sabog confetti*

Group shots!! Photo (c) Marius/Jefferson.

Check out who made their way to compete with the other countries!

Sooooo.... Here's one of my reasons why I joined - Freeeeebiees!!!

I felt like I didn't lose at all! This is going to be my 2nd Pump It Up Jersey! The other one was from last year's International Pump Fest 2012 wherein I was on 3rd place. So hoooooray for my freebies!

Thank you so much everyone and I'm really working on my best efforts being an assistant supporter. HUGE HUGS TO EVERYONE!

Congrats to Nick too! He had his first Pump It Up Cap for his consolation prize! *sabog confetti* at 2:30:00 PM 0 comments

Pump It Up OCTOBER FEST 2012 ♥

10.21.2012
Pump It Up October Fest 2012.
Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall.

Super huge blog update ahead!!!

I never thought I will be able to host my very own Pump It Up event. To be honest, I am very speechless right now. I don't know the perfect words to say but everything was perfect! I just experienced another unforgettable birthday celebration, but not just me, it was together with my friends who also celebrated their birthday this October. yahooooo ♥

Going Back...

Early Sunday Morning, I was rushing myself so that I can prepare and set-up everything at World Of Fun. Unfortunately, my family won't let me go! And that was like past 11:00 am already. I need to be there by 12 noon!

Since I bought a Banapple Bannoffee Pie Cake last Friday and they haven't eaten the cake yet (they don't want to eat the cake without me) soooo....

I had my birthday brunch with Nemo and my family ♥

Thank you so much for the nilagang baboy and lasagna, Ate Dona! yum yum yum ♥

Fast Forward...

1:00 pm. I saw some of our participants who were trying to have a last-minute practice. So while they were practicing, I had the opportunity to set up the venue.

Check out my mini Bucket Song List! I came up with random Pump It Up Songs that I used for their play. Mechanics was to randomly select a number for each category. A draw lots to be exact.

SONG REFERENCE HERE.

Here's their randomly picked songs used during the competition:
Preliminary Round:
Male Speed - Take Out S18
Female Speed - Gargoyle S18
Tag Team - The Devil DP??

Semi-Final Round:
Male Speed - We Got To Know S17
Female Speed -  Tek-Club Coppenhagen S16
Tag Team - Tepris DP??

Final Round:

Male Speed - Phantom Intermezzo D19
Female Speed - Superman D15
Tag Team - Love Is A Danger Zone 2 DP??

Anyhow.. I wanna show you first what we prepared for this one-of-a-kind-event. Not only I did do efforts for this, but also my October friends who were celebrating their birthday with me.

Personally, I tried to ask them to sponsor for the event. Something from the bottom of their hearts. I was quite surprised how everything went so well. I really didn't expect something big from them. Kudos to my awesome friends for that!

So to start with, an event won't be an event without a memorabilia! Cheyenne, my sweet friend & an August birthday celebrant who helped me out with the participant's IDs. Remembrance it is!

Charles & Maku, they brought freebies and consolation prizes! Charles provided us candies & sweets while Maku made a customized Pump It Up Philippines, FZSL GC logo & Fiesta EX pins.

Mark also added prizes for the 1st Runner-Up winners. He provided cool shirts for them!

Dahil 2 years na at dahil na-miss ko... I asked Jepii to make pizza pica-pica for everyone! Grabe, isa lang ang nakain ko during the event, pero parang pakiramdam ko, ako naka-ubos! Sarap nung pizza nila Jepii noh? LIKE MY POST IF YES! ♥

I requested official Pump It Up items too for the champs and 1st runner-up! With the help of North Luzon & Central Region Pump It Up Supporter, Jefferson Magsano - he provided me cool Pump It Up towels, notepads and wrist bands too! All OFFICIAL! Thanks Jeff!!

Even World Of Fun supported our event! Thank you so much Mr. Michael Ignacio for the P2,000-worth of gift certificate. These helped me a lot when it comes to providing them equally with the prizes. I even gave gift certs as consolation prizes, kaya wala talagang talo sa mga sumali! That made possible by World Of Fun! Thanks guys!

And last but not the least, my self-made trophies! All personalized with the October Birthday celeb's dedication at the back!  Done these for two days!! With love and personal touch ♥

That's why, for everyone who have done these little things for the success of the event - THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! with so much LOVE & AWESOMENESS!♥

LET THE GAMES BEGIN! ...

Of course, before we start, we need to calibrate the pads first! Thanks Sir Ricky and the other 3 technicians (that I wasn't able to know their names *sad*!) They are our friendly tech-neighborhood at World Of Fun! They are the friendliest technicians ever! Thanks too Sir Ricky for the bench and tables!

Check out the crowd! So overwhelming!

Thank you StellarMotionX for joining and coming :)

I'm just a PROUD GIRLFRIEND! More power to your friendship PANCHAMs! Wala akong ka-alam-alam about sa mask niyo! Galing niyo mag-tago ha :) Congratulations TEAM M&M's

Since this Pump It Up October Fest 2012's event is a joint birthday celebration...
