My MIND-Blowing Birthday & Our MIND-Blowing 4th Anniv ~♥

10.26.2012
The Mind Museum.
Pan De Amerikana.

MIND BLOWING: adj. -amazing, intense, intensely affecting the mind or emotions.

Synonyms: astonishing, eye-opening, hallucinatory, mind-altering, mind- boggling, overwhelming, psychedelic, staggering, stunning, wonderful

These words may exactly encapsulate how I describe the first world-class science museum in the Philippines, The Mind Museum in Taguig.

(c) Inna Del Mundo.

I salute all the people behind The Mind Museum. It's indeed another state of the art achievement for Filipinos. Very educational, most especially to the kids. Mostly visited by field trips. Luckily, it seems that there was only one cluster of class on field trip during our time slot, so we enjoyed the museum without so much crowd to worry about. Its very interactive, modern, and informative galleries made our visit very much worthwhile.

 Anyhow...

Me & Nemo celebrated  our MIND-BLOWING holi-date; my birthday & our 4th Anniversary. Thank you Nemo for all these surprises! I admit I expect something from you, but, I wasn't expecting something BIG like this! Most especially the upside-down dinner we had at Pan De Amerikana. It was so unforgettable!

Lemme' tour you at the Mind Museum ♥

Hello Aedi!!

Giant Chocolate. Everything is made up of atom.

My worst enemy.. Chemistry! haha :)

The Human Brain.

Nooooooooo!!!!!!

The Evolution of Man. Thanks manong guard for taking our pic!

Meet Stan, the famous T-rex at the The Mind Museum.

This "tyrant lizard king" (40 ft long and 12 ft tall) was unveiled in 1992. It is the most complete fossil replica of a Tyrannosaurus rex. Scars on its bones relate a lifetime of fighting for survival.

From a bird-like egg, the T.rex grew to be an enormous reptile with jagged, banana-sized teeth encased in 4 ft jaws that can crush 500 pounds of meat in one bite. It became extinct 65 million years ago.

and since we have the best-est time slot, we took advantage of our 10 shots!! Oh! MAKE IT 30 SHOTS! haha :))

Our footprints with Stan ♥

At the Light Bridge. Making fun of ourselves. haha!

We got the power!!

We went to the moon too!

Look at the stars, look how they shine for you ♥

Barong at Baro't Saya.. Cutie!

I enjoyed this much!! The Static Van de Graaff. My hair doesn't want to be lifted by the charges. kainis! haha :))

Everyday objects are made up at both negative and positive charges but a Van de Graaff generator, named after the scientist, Robert Van de Graaff (1901-1967), who developed it in 1929, pulls apart these charges building up electrical charge on the surface. Touch the surface and you transfer your own electrons to the machine, leaving each strand of your hair with only positive charges wich repel each other. That is how you get your hair to stand!

Nemo tried it also, kaso walang effect! hahaha :))

They have Drum Mania inside!! Very old version of DM 2nd mix. Old school though!

Playing in Virtual Worlds

Toys have been present in about 5,500 years of recorded history. They have helped shape our imagination. In today's setting, the "pretend" world is no longer confined to models of play, wood, steel or plastic but have now morphed into a simulate world, what we call "virtual reality."

Something to add to our collection... A self-made souvenir using the Gutenberg Press.

Gutenberg Press
The Original Printing Press

Johannes Gutenberg (1398-1468) revolutionized printing with the movable type printing press like this one. Before this, printing had to be painstakingly hand copied. Moving elements, like the "The Mind Museum" plate you see here, is brushed with ink, covered with paper and then moved to the inner part where you move the press down and twist it to imprint the copy. We owe Gutenberg for the mass production of the printed thought.

Right after our tour, we went straight to their educational playground. That playground, is too awesome! Very modern and sophisticated.

We enjoyed the playground! Sobrang saya maging bata ulit :)

So much awesomeness of the place, I can't move on! Well, if this Mind Museum is MIND BLOWING... then this Pan De Amerikana Resto made our world UPSIDE DOWN!

Check out our table number! It's my birth day!

Cool, breezy atmosphere. Very relaxing and unwinding.

Here's our sumptuous menu that we ate for dinner...

Sisig Rice.

Bangus Sisig.

Chicken Curry.

Dinakdakan.

Our dinner was soothing. The stress of our cab expenses went all away because of the restaurant's aura, very therapeutic and everything was turned upside-down!

Cheesy remembrance as our tradition. ♥

Coolest dinning table EVER! :))

Check out the Rover! Eccentric!

THANK YOU SO MUCH Nemo for bringing me here, sa Pan De Amerikana! Grabe, hindi ko naisip na madadala mo ako sa ganitong kakaibang lugar. I fell in love with everything Nemo! I am very happy and thankful to have someone like you in my life. Someone who always make me feel like I am a very important person. THANK YOU for always making me the happiest girl in the world. Mahal na mahal kita Nemo. I don't want to promise you anything, but I will do my best, to hold on and to never leave your side. I will try my best efforts to keep our relationship alive - till' death do us part. For richer or poorer or in sickness or in health. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU and I WILL DO ANYTHING and EVERYTHING just to LOVE YOU ALWAYS. Thank you so much for trusting me with your whole life. For making me your person. You are my person too. Sana, matupad natin lahat ng pangarap natin s a buhay. ~~♥ Achie. at 11:10:00 AM
